En su intento por alcanzar la prestigiosa Triple Corona, Alonso conquist\u00f3 en dos oportunidades las 24 Horas de Le Mans con Toyota en 2018 y 2019, mientras que en las 500 Millas de Indian\u00e1polis lider\u00f3 27 vueltas en 2017 antes de abandonar por rotura de motor, cerrando su paso por el \u00f3valo con un puesto 21 en la edici\u00f3n de 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En el terreno del rally raid, el piloto espa\u00f1ol hizo su debut absoluto en el Rally Dakar en la temporada 2020 junto al equipo Toyota, llevando como navegante al experimentado motociclista Marc Coma y finalizando en una meritoria posici\u00f3n 13 en la clasificaci\u00f3n general. Medios espa\u00f1oles se\u00f1alaron recientemente que ambos podr\u00edan reencontrarse en un futuro proyecto apoyado en la base t\u00e9cnica de Dacia y Prodrive, estructura que mantiene v\u00ednculos operativos de larga data con la f\u00e1brica de Aston Martin en campeonatos de resistencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante el Gran Premio de Singapur, Alonso desestim\u00f3 la posibilidad inmediata de disputar ambas disciplinas en simult\u00e1neo, asegurando que el desgaste f\u00edsico hace pr\u00e1cticamente inviable compaginar una temporada completa de Formula 1 con la preparaci\u00f3n exhaustiva que demanda el Dakar. El piloto remarc\u00f3 que cualquier decisi\u00f3n formal ser\u00e1 anunciada directamente por \u00e9l cuando considere que su nivel de preparaci\u00f3n es el adecuado para asumir un reto de tal magnitud sin comprometer su rendimiento en las pistas de asfalto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pese a sus declaraciones, las grabaciones difundidas en redes sociales por el piloto Gerard Farr\u00e9 mostraron a Alonso acumulando kil\u00f3metros sobre las dunas de Marruecos con un veh\u00edculo todoterreno de la firma Prodrive.
