Tras varias horas de competencia limpia, la marca japonesa construy\u00f3 una ventaja s\u00f3lida gracias a un ciclo de paradas alterno. Sin embargo, BMW acort\u00f3 sus turnos de manejo progresivamente para sincronizar sus detenciones, evitando una costosa parada extra hacia el final de la prueba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante la noche, los Cadillac del equipo JOTA tomaron la punta mostrando gran velocidad. Lamentablemente, S\u00e9bastien Bourdais sufri\u00f3 un fallo en la direcci\u00f3n hidr\u00e1ulica de su auto #38, perdiendo siete vueltas y retir\u00e1ndose a la ma\u00f1ana siguiente. El Cadillac #12 hered\u00f3 el liderato moment\u00e1neo, pero Louis Del\u00e9traz cometi\u00f3 una infracci\u00f3n bajo bandera amarilla y recibi\u00f3 un castigo de pase y siga, perdiendo tiempo vital en su lucha contra los fabricantes de Toyota y BMW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Con el regreso del d\u00eda, Toyota demostr\u00f3 tener un ritmo superior en la pista francesa. Tras la \u00faltima parada simult\u00e1nea, Kobayashi y Frijns optaron por no cambiar neum\u00e1ticos. El piloto de BMW intent\u00f3 reducir la brecha desesperadamente, pero termin\u00f3 cruzando la meta a menos de once segundos del ganador tras veinticuatro horas de intensa batalla.
