En la segunda parte del programa realiz\u00f3 una combinaci\u00f3n de 4 Toeloop + 3 Toeloop, un 3 Axel y cerr\u00f3 con una secuencia de 3 Lutz + 2 Axel. Esta ejecuci\u00f3n, sumada a los 83.96 puntos en componentes y los 92.94 de su programa corto, le permitieron alcanzar la primera posici\u00f3n definitiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El desempe\u00f1o de los patinadores japoneses permiti\u00f3 que la delegaci\u00f3n sumara dos medallas ol\u00edmpicas. Yuma Kagiyama obtuvo la medalla de plata apoyado en la ventaja de puntos que consigui\u00f3 en el programa corto, lo que compens\u00f3 un programa libre con un rendimiento t\u00e9cnico menor al esperado. El poseedor de los r\u00e9cords mundiales de puntuaci\u00f3n registr\u00f3 \u00fanicamente 156.33 puntos en su programa libre, lo que lo ubic\u00f3 en la posici\u00f3n 15 de ese segmento y lo releg\u00f3 al octavo puesto de la clasificaci\u00f3n general.
