Tras otra temporada en la que alcanzan los Play Offs y caen ante los Nuggets de Denver, los Lakers decidieron hacer un cambio en el banquillo y el elegido no cuenta con experiencia para dirigir equipos, incluso este ser\u00e1 su primer trabajo como entrenador en la NBA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Redick fue una primera selecci\u00f3n de draft, fue elegido en la posici\u00f3n n\u00famero 11 por el Orlando Magic en el 2006 y se mantuvo 15 a\u00f1os en la liga. La carrera de JJ en el Magic termin\u00f3 en 2013 cuando se fue con los Bucks, donde s\u00f3lo dur\u00f3 unos meses y termin\u00f3 con los Clippers; en 2017 firm\u00f3 con los 76ers, en el 2019 con los Pelicans y en 2021 se retir\u00f3 con los Mavericks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras su etapa en la NBA, lleg\u00f3 como analista a la cadena de deportes ESPN, y ahora comenzar\u00e1 su etapa de entrenador con uno de los equipos m\u00e1s importantes de la liga. Redick se habr\u00eda reunido con Jeanie Buss, propietaria del equipo, y el vicepresidente del equipo Rob Pelinka, el fin de se mana pasado; Pelinka conf\u00eda en las habilidades de JJ para conectar con los jugadores as\u00ed como en su inteligencia para el partido.
