Al comienzo del partido la bielorrusa comenz\u00f3 a imponer su juego con golpes r\u00e1pidos y certeros, aunque Gauff trat\u00f3 de contrarrestar el ataque y logr\u00f3 salvar un par de pelotas no consigui\u00f3 m\u00e1s que dos juegos dentro del primer set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A partir del segundo set las cosas dieron un giro de 360\u00b0, pues Zabalenka perdi\u00f3 concentraci\u00f3n pues el publico apoy\u00f3 de gran manera a su compatriota y dio paso a que Gauff se recuperara y empatara el partido. Me estaba concentrando en mi misma, no en el publico o como ella (Cori) se mov\u00eda. Se movi\u00f3 incre\u00edble el d\u00eda de hoy. Pero en el segundo set comenc\u00e9 a sobre pensar, y por eso empec\u00e9 a perder mi poder.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras la victoria, Gauff coment\u00f3: &#8220;Me siento en shock en este momento. La derrota en el Abierto Frances (Roland Garros) me rompi\u00f3 el coraz\u00f3n, pero descubr\u00ed que Dios te pone pruebas y aflicciones, y eso hace que este momento sea a\u00fan m\u00e1s dulce de lo que pude imaginar. Sabia que si no daba lo mejor de mi, no iba a tener oportunidad de ganar.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gauff de 19 a\u00f1os consigui\u00f3 su primer Grand Slam, y tambi\u00e9n es la 10ma adolescente (menor a 20 a\u00f1os) en ganar el US Open.
